Mr. Gonzalez joined Padilla & Rodriguez after practicing at one of the largest law firms in the country. Prior to that, Mr. Gonzalez spent his first few years as an attorney at some of Houston’s most recognizable defense firms. However, he eventually realized that his true passion was in representing those who have been injured. To that end, he joined Padilla & Rodriguez where he now represents plaintiffs in cases involving automobile accidents, 18-wheeler accidents, workplace injuries, products liability, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death.
Mr. Gonzalez is a graduate of South Texas College of Law Houston where he was a varsity advocate for the school’s nationally-ranked advocacy program. He was recognized for his outstanding efforts by being awarded the Heart of South Texas Advocacy Award, the Bernardino Agosto, Sr. Scholarhip, second-best speaker at the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Tournament, and top prize at the Garland Walker Mock Trial Tournament. Mr. Gonzalez continues to give back to his alma mater by serving as an advocacy coach for the next generation of student advocates. During law school, Mr. Gonzalez worked at the Texas Supreme Court as a judicial intern to the Honorable Eva M. Guzman, as well as the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. Prior to law school, Mr. Gonzalez studied International Business at the University of Texas at San Antonio where he was also a member of the men’s club soccer team.
Mr. Gonzalez proudly serves on the South Texas College of Law Houston Young Alumni Council (member), the Mexican-American Bar Association of Houston (president-elect), the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston (member), and the Hispanic National Bar Association (Deputy Regional President). Mr. Gonzalez was previously recognized by Latino Leaders Magazine as one of Houston’s Club Leaders of the Future.
Mr. Gonzalez was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas and is fully fluent in Spanish. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his German Shepherd and is a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
